    Description

I recently purchased a collection of 19th century photos from Texas and Western states. Some very nice and rare images in this collection. I'll be listing these over the next couple of weeks.
There's so much I wish I knew about this large photo! After a magnifying glass and some research, my guess is that it is a San Antonio railway office for the Houston & Texas Central Railway. The office shows lots of rolled papers which are likely maps. There is also a surveyor scope mounted on a tripod. On the wall is a map which depicts the routes of the Houston and Texas Central Railway (although "Texas" is obscured by the head of one of the gentlemen). There is also a fantastic poster for the 1889 International Fair in San Antonio. If you know for sure what this photo is of, please let me know and I'll add it to the listing. The photo is in good condition with a couple of tiny nips along the extreme edges. The card though is a bit rough with one corner missing and an old tape repair across the bottom right corner. Otherwise, what an awesome image!
    The photo itself measures measures 4 1/4 x 7 1/4 inches mounted to a card measuring 6 x 10 inches.
Always happy to combine shipping on multiple wins!
