Antique 19th C. Papier Mache Snuff Box

Description

A marvelous antique 19th century papier mache snuff box with the absolute best lithographes face on its top. The face is surrounded by a "crown" of golden spikes (it may be a halo). This is very well done, a perfect addition to any collection. I'm unsure of its origin, but my best guess is that this was made in France.
Condition: there are some age cracks on the sides of the box, and it looks as if there is an old repair on the right side as well. There is also some old paint loss on the sides and bottom. The lid works great, and the hinge is in good condition. This is a beautifully made.
