This is a Matching Pair of high-quality Man’s full-size Antique cowboy roping cuffs embossed with 2 sizes of domed brass studs with the desirable early style leather strap and thin nickel-plated buckle closures vs. the latter snap buttons. Note these are heavy duty cuffs made to protect the wrists of Cowboys when roping horses or cattle. Their fancy style could also be worn in rodeos and parades. The unlined cuffs are about 7" tall with a total of 76 studs. There are 38 domed brass studs on each cuff in 2 sizes: 11 large and 27 small. The cuffs are about 4 3/4" across on the bottom and about 2 7/8" opening at the top as shown. The 4 sided outside borders have a fancy line border with half-moon stampings above and below punch dot decoration. The 4 sided inside borders have a fancy line border embossed and small wave pattern punch dot decorated background. The bottom of the cuffs are held together by 3 cross braided flat leather strands at the base. The tops of the cuffs are secured by the old, early style of leather straps that are double stitched with a small, nickel-plated brass buckle.
There are no studs missing and no damage, repairs, or alterations; all in untouched, original, with little to no wear, and remain in mint condition. These would be great for any Cowboy, Cowgirl, Old West, Western, Cuffs, Roping cuffs, Wild West, Parade, Rodeo or Western Americana display; or displayed in a Man Cave / Office decoration as a conversation piece.
