They hold 10 fl oz of water each providing a slow drip of water to plants.
Works best when added with wet soil.  If soil is dry the water sucks right out of the globe.
Make a hole in the dirt for it.
If you jam it in the loose dirt, dirt will get stuck inside the pipe and not let water out.
