DIVNE French 1800’s wooden snuff box, decorated to the lid with fine metal inlay depicting highly detailed scene: a peasant plowing with a couple of oxen and mother of pearl inlay simulating stones. It is in great antique condition commensurate with age, just a couple of superficial tiny hairlines to the lateral panels due to the hinge mechanism…Very nice shape to facilitate its use. The unusual hinge is in perfect working order, no cracks, hairlines or repairs whatsoever. It closes tightly. MEASUREMENTS: 3 ¼” long, 1 ¾” wide & ¾” thick, it weighs 44 grams.
