This is a brand new 3 feet by 5 feet heavy duty cotton flag with 2 grommets for flying or hanging. It is a heavy cotton flag with

It has a good quality header with brass grommets and 4 rows of stitching on the fly end for durability.
DOUBLE SIDED means this flag is the same on both sides as the first 2 pictures reflect.
This flag weighs 2 1/2 pounds dry.
NOTE: Cotton flags should be displayed inside or outside in dry conditions.
About the men who marched with this flag:
Groups of volunteers were organized throughout the US to join the Texans in their fight for liberty. Some people believed that President Jackson was promoting the American involvement in the Texas revolution. One of the first was a group that left New Orleans by steamboat, sailing up the Mississippi and Red rivers to Natchitoches, Louisiana, and then marched towards San Felipe. As they crossed the Sabine river and entered Texas, a group of appreciative settlers made this flag and presented it to the militia. At least nineteen of these men from New Orleans died defending the Alamo on March 6th, 1836.
