Use any type bottle, jar or other container for liquid. You simply push the rubber stopper on the feeder tube into the opening. The stopper is tapered and measures 1" at the top and 5/8" at the bottom. The curved tube has an O.D. of 7mm (approx. 9/32"). It is made from the highest quality plastic and has a red plastic tip designed to attract hummingbirds.  Potters and ceramicists will find these feeder tubes perfect for completing a handmade feeder. For the crafts minded person, plastic pop bottles make excellent containers.  Also use glass jars with lids (with drilled hole in the lid for inserting feeder tube).
And a reminder: make sure the rubber stopper fits tightly into your container to prevent leakage.
