This Hat was worn at the 1997 Western Open at Cog Hill Golf Course in Lemont, IL.  Payne who typically wore Ben Hogan Style hats wore this hat during the Tuesday practice round.  At the conclusion of the round I personally asked him to sign a few items, which he did. I think jokingly asked for his hat and he took it off and signed it for me.  If you look inside of the hat you will see Payne's actual sweat.  This is a rare Game Worn Item from one of Golf's great players all all time.
