    Description

Up for sale is a vintage (1969) quad-fold brochure for then NEW aerial tramway at Royal Gorge in Colorado.  This is a tourist attraction that NO LONGER EXISTS.
This booklet was actually published BEFORE the official opening of the tramway as evidenced by a footnote on one of the panels which refers to the
    scheduled opening
in June, 1969.  The aerial tram had a route of almost 1/2 mile long across the gorge and about 1200 feet above the Arkansas River.  The interior panels of the brochure also feature the almost new (just opened in 1968) Visitors Center.  Other attractions mentioned in the brochure include:  The Royal Gorge and Silver Rock R.R., the tame deer herd, the Incline Railway, the Hanging Bridge, and the Cliff Terrace Cafe.
In 2013, a wild fire (started by a human) destroyed the Aerial Tramway and the Visitors Center, and also damaged the Incline Railway.  The Visitors Center was rebuilt but the Aerial Tramway was not.  Instead, the Cloudscaper Zip Line ride was installed in 2015.
This brochure measures just under 9 inches tall and 4 inches wide (when folded).  When opened the width is 16 inches.
Please see above for full description of condition and for photos. Sold as is.
