    Description

The St. Edward's Crown of 1661 is part of the Miniature Crown Jewel Collection created and designed by Nicholas & Susan Findeisen, the original owners of Crowns & Regalia, Ltd and is entirely hand made by skilled artists using the finest materials. Each piece is hand cast in high quality Pewter, then richly 22ct. Gold or Sterling Silver plated, hand polished, set with minute Austrian Crystal stones and/or hand enamelled and finished, and comes in its original box.
    The History of the Original:
    The St. Edward's Crown
(1661) is the actual crown of Coronation, and is made of Gold, weighs five pounds and set with precious and semiprecious stones.
It is reputed to have been the crown of Edward the Confessor.
During the time of Cromwell, most of the Crown Jewels were melted into coinage, but it would appear that the original crown was saved, and incorporated into the crown made for the Coronation of Charles II in 1661.
The Crown Jewels of Great Britain represent not only Britain's greatest treasures, they also represent the long history of the times and monarchs who wore them. This beautiful miniature will be a treasured heirloom, and a lasting reminder of the glorious 50 years reign of our Queen.
