    Description

    Up for sale is a rare and interesting brass and copper 5 3/4" oblong tobacco snuff box featuring scenes on both sides. Included is a carriage, horses, a king with crown and scepter, eagle, a horse drawn cart with rider, a cross, crown scenes, and more. The words "Uber Dasz Gantz, Landt" and "Joseph Herine" are readable. Other words are worn and harder to decipher. The top and bottom of the container are made of brass while the center section is copper. The exterior hinge alternates between copper and brass in an unusual pattern.
    This rare snuff box depicts life in the 18th century, and is a curious piece of history.
