Vintage Carved Wood Snuff Tobacco Box Colonial Design 13 Stars Stripes Slide Top. Interesting wooden carved snuff box – has a small piece of paper inside stating “This is a faithful copy of an old Snuff Box made in Colonial Days. The date of the original, carved by hand from New England pine, is fixed by the 13 stars and 13 stripes off the sides. It happens to be just the right size for cigarettes.” Nicely done snuff box guessing 1930’s or maybe earlier. Patina and age wear on bottom support not a new item. Snuff box measures approx. 2” tall, 4⅜” long, and 2¾” wide. No damage – couple small worn spots – otherwise really nice condition. Snuff is carved into the top and has a nice design to assist sliding off the top. See pictures. Selling as shown/found.
