Vintage Sascha Brastoff Surf Ballet Grey/Platinum Appetizer Plates 12” Mid Century
This is a large, 12" appetizer plate. The piece is in very good condition and ready to be displayed and used. It has the full "Sascha Brastoff" signature stamp. (There is crazing due to age, but does not distract from the overall beauty of these plates)

Sascha Brastoff was a mid-century designer/artist whose work took California by storm in the 1950's and 1960's. Surf Ballet, something of an oil and water pattern was produced in limited quantities. Grey and Platinum was made in very limited numbers. (One of the originators of 1950s functional design, he did design for the 1956 film, Forbidden Planet. His factory, Sascha Brastoff of California, Inc., operated in West Los Angeles, from 1953 until about 1973)
