    Antique Western Leather Tooled Holster for Colt M1873 - 1878  single action NICE ! / The last two photos in the auction are for reference of the style and style of revolver that will fit in this holster and is not part of the auction NOW this style holster will fit a M1873 / 1878 Colt. We have it displayed with a 4 3/4 inch barrel, but the 5 1/2 barrel colt was also a nice fit. My guess on date is circa 1900 - 1920's. Has muzzle plug on bottom double loop pass through style with various markings on back 405-41-4 1/2 . This is what they call a real vintage stock holster used in the wild west .  .Very nice holster as seen in our 10 detail photos , And leather is no hard and stiff. This is an antique and would not suggest using it as an everyday holster. .This old collector had it on display with his old guns and considered the holster harder ti find that the single action colts that he had..
